Picked up this Walther DSM a while back from a collector friend before he past away, the only questions I have are on the stacking rod if it is correct or a repro rod and the manual, he didn't know if it was a reprint or an original.

rod is not orig. Looks like a modern stainless rod that was cut and threaded. The orig rods have wood screw threads, and a slot on the other end for a "screw" driver to engage...
 
That is a nice looking rifle. Having a sling and a muzzle cover makes it even better. The reproduction cleaning rod would not be a big concern in my eyes. Do the numbers on the bolt handle root match the other serial numbers on the rifle?

The bolt does match.
