Have had my hands on a few of these. Back in the late 1980s a good friend of mine imported some arms parts, etc. from Yugoslavia. I recall being at his home and finding about a dozen tan "rco44" kits in his garage! Had only heard of a "rco45" at the time. I inquired and my friend said he did have a couple "rco45" kits, but had sold them at the O.G.C.A. show. As for the others, he said if I wanted a kit, to go ahead and take one. In doing so, I found all kits were incomplete to some degree. Most of the components were of similar type and vintage, so assembled the best of what was there into the kit I kept. All the oilers were brown phenolic. Chains were typically twisted wire with simple patch loop clip and three steel beads. (the chain I got had three steel beads, but they had never been crimped). Spoon was the late, simple flat stamped, unattributed variant. Since then, the last two, late RG34's I found were both "rco45"s and each was $50.00 or less (one at a militaria collector show & the other at a swap meet). The first I kept and last one, with a sheet-steel oiler, went to the friend from whom I got my first tan kit over 30 years previously...
