Hello
I found this interesting Belgian bayonet Mle 24 reused and shortened by the Germans. The muzzle rings were removed, scabbard reworked and the set numbered. These bayonets equipped the police units. The 84/98 were found at the same time, doubles : Cvl 43, Fnj 42 and Jos Corts Sn39.
Best regards.

Nice one german rework, matching, is there any serial on pommel?, belgian didnt used this type of bayonets prior WW2, so mostly its a export piece FN M24 long shortened to S84/98 blade lenght. b.r.Andy

Hello,
Yes, she has a serial number on the pommel.
Well, she does not have much success my little belgian. These bayonets are rarer than the usual Czech or Polish...

That numbering style is very similar to what's on my Model 1916/24, also modified.

Is higher number, when no letter there so probably no possible to determine export area, possible undelivered pieces from large contract like China or other country. b.r.Andy
