ERMA Modell E36

I think this ERMA is a rather unusual Modell. Fully adjustable rear sight, beautifully checkered, replacable/optional front sight blades screw in. Underside of the removable rear sight is numbered, and the bolt reminds me of a mini- KKW.... rear of the receiver is milled to accept a scope.

... Can anyone add more details?? Year made, quantity made?

This sales brochure from Erma (inside shown below) details the four configurations in which the E36 was offered for sale. In a letter to dealers and retailers (dated 20 April 1936), the company states that they have sold more than 10,000 of their various small bore rifles "in recent years" and further promotes sales of their E36, the DSM, the "Erma Standard Modell 35" (commercial configuration made from the DSM action), and their barrel inserts (Einsteckläufe). Hope this helps.
