There have been dozens of threads regarding shooting these rifles. This isn't a gunsmithing forum, its a collecting forum, its ok to discuss, but there are too many. Use this sticky or the search function. It is the general consensus of the collectors that matching original guns not be shot. So if you are asking how to shoot your matching original gun....just don't shoot it. Find a beater. There are 10x more beater G/K rifles then good ones so they aren't hard to find.
Some redundant or useless threads will be deleted. Or closed. Nothing personal.

Shooters Kit - YES, you need one. They are overgassed. Apfeltor, or an ebay guy makes them. Get one. And springs. Case closed.
