this dou. 45 had a thick coat of shellac. using the advice of a very knowledgable forum member, i used denatured alcohol to get it off. took a long time! the inside wood was never shellaced and the handguard channel shows the colors. follower is 135 marked and rear sight leaf is 42 over 655 marked. the gun is all original except for the bolt. it has a straight bolt handle. a couple photos show the rifle with a bnz 42 bolt. i found this rifle on gunbroker. hope you like it.
