A roller coaster ride that definitely had its ups and downs! This one started with a phone call around 9:00 pm AZ time, 12 AM on the east coast from Dave Roberts. I rarely give a look at some of the bigger auction sites, but Dave was on top of this one from the get go. Within a few weeks Dave managed to get pictures of all the important stuff. With all that Dave, Bruce, Matt D, Damien and a few others gave me the go ahead and told me to buy the damn thing!

The rifle is in excellent condition, probably captured shortly after it was issued. Matching throughout including the Ajack scope. Serial 40639 i. Has R on the tang and a R on the rear of the front base (not sure if others have been observed this way). Rw shortened safety, e/135 on rear base, checkered butt plate, hand guard and stock numbered matching. The rifle came with a superb sling and a matching Durkopp bayonet with frog

You've done well Michael, it's refreshing to see an honest unfucked with sniper. Who took the photographs, they look professional. Lol

Good for you! Your patience payed off, that’s one hell of a nice looking high turret rifle. I admit I have a bit of a thing for white glue laminate stocks which is a bonus in my mind. I enjoy seeing teamwork like what you have described benefit members on this forum, especially when it is verifying high end collectibles such as sniper rifles. Congratulations.

That’s a great looking rifle, glad you got it!

Ajack High/Low Turrets are my personal favorites that the germans produced, so thank you for the eye candy.

Was there any story behind the rifle by chance?

Wow
