Bandolier question

The grandson picked up a bandolier and thinks it's WWII German. It has seven pouches with bakelite buttons and a two prong buckle on one end. It's kind of khaki. No markings. Can't do pictures at this time. any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Impossible to say anything without pictures but there are repros of these

He only paid a couple of bucks for it, if it's a repro it's no big deal. What would it be a repro of ? I know, no pics don't help.

Tried. No luck. I'll take an educated guess from somebody.

Yes, except buttons are bakelite . Google isn't my friend, sometimes.

Turkish, many are ww2 made. I can’t recall Bakelite buttons but there are many variations.
