I purchased this kit a little over a month ago. I now have the free time to take the pictures. Let me know what you think.

G. Appell WaA accepted kit with "pickled" finish and brass lid clips, so circa 1936 or later. Because of the separate photos, it kind of throws off the scale of each component. However, the chain appears to be from a kleinkaliber kit. A steel oiler, like the chain, are appropriate for the time period. Large chamber brush is typically found in KK kits but obviously useless to clean the bore. However, acts as a good brush to remove dust & debris, and certainly clean the receiver after bolt has been removed. Are either the chain or oiler marked (both should be G. APPELL). The majority of APPELL KK kits are not WaA marked, so is difficult to absolutely state this kit started out in life as a KK one. It could just as easily be a straight army contract Mauser 98 kit with the exception that somewhere along the line the chain got replaced with one for a .22 kal. rifle. Regardless, at a decent price, I would not hesitate to buy such an example if I ran into one like this.

Thank you for your input. What do you think of the kit as a whole?

IMHO it is a nice, decent kit. If you can find a .22 cal brush, then it would be complete. Wasn't that long ago there were HK33 5.56 cleaning kits (in the green plastic box) available cheap. The chain in those is very similar to the original Kleinkaliber one and the bore brush also quite similar (but nylon bristles). I recall Northridge Int'l had these and bought several just as spares...

Neither the oiler or the chain are marked in any way. The seller states that the brush is correct but what I thought I was getting was a .22 cal bore brush. I have another kit and that is missing the ccorrect brushes as well. Sorry I didn’t take a picture of everything together, it was not intentional. Again, I appreciate your and other members information on these kits.
