Original German imperial M88 and S rounds

Warrior1354

ax - hole
I have looked for some nice rounds like this for years and I've never found any for sale. Just seems like finding original German World War 1 era ammunition is tough. So just had a hunch I contacted a fellow member here and just asked if he had any. Turns out he had quite a bit in his collection that he is found over the years. Wow who would have known! Like I said I have been too many of the OGCA shows and the NGD shows. None I have found thats been for sale. Only German WW1 ammo I have seen is a couple of the Mauser tankgewehr rounds. When I found out he had some I took down some of the makers I wanted. Plus a couple of the later copper mixed with steel type. I wanted too show the different types of rounds the Germans were using during the war. Anyway I'm quite happy and thanks again buddy.

Here's some of the makers if you're interested in seeing what I bought.

GM: Metallwerke J. Goeggl & Sohn
DM: Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken
D: Ammunition Factory Dresden
PMF: Powder and ammunition Factory Dachau
S: Ammunition Factory Spandau
I: Main Laboratory Ingolstadt

Wow these are great, thanks for showing. I've also been looking for some WW1 examples.

I've got a box of probably 3 or 4 dozen of this era stuff. I'll post it when I get back home from vacation

I may have overestimated how many I had. But just by a couple. Tried to get all the unique headstamps in there. Notice the corrosion on some of the Spitzer rounds from a cloth MG belt.

Mine all appears to be brass and copper wash steel. I have a bunch of the different kinds of enameled steel from WWII

The one with the red primer sealant is an SmK (AP) round and a somewhat hard to find WW1 round.

Thanks for showing. I also have been looking for 8mm ww1 rounds for my collection and haven't found any. The best I have done is a box of 9mm Luger.

here's a couple of boxes.

Pretty cool. When I picked up my new Mauser the seller showed me what looked like original German Military boxes of 1871 11mm Mauser Ammo.
