A memeber offered me this rifle. Everything looked good to me, I just wanted the experts opinions. The rifle is all matching, with a clean duffle cut. What would you say the ballpark value is?

Just pointing out, not picking apart, the extractor was replaced, one photo shows a nice clear circle V mark. Out of touch with costs, depends what you want if for vs what is being asked.

I really like it, but I am fond of DUV's with duroful hand guards. If the price is right, I'd jump on it.

Just curious. Is the serial number 6165f, 8185f or what? Thanks in advance.

If I know the serial number, I can check my listings for any prior contact.

Well the gun isnt molested, it was prison raped!!! Sanding of the stock reduces value, but when you cut the stock in half, it is nothing more than a shooter or good for re-enactors, no collectible value!
Just wait a little bit and a nice rifle will come along, dont buy junk just because the price is right, there is a constant flow of k43s that come up for sale. And it will be very hard to resell it in the future too. Investing your $$$ into high-grade rifles is what builds a nice collection.

Yeah, that stock is sanded and cut, it’s half the value of the rifle. Some people don’t care about that aspect but collectors spending big money do care.

Man Mike, that’s heavy. But I totally agree. This rifle has no collector value left. Good job on pointing out the duffle cut and sanded. In what year too do you think they started doing that? The Germans? Waffenmiester?

hi, I sold this rifle this week to a guy that wanted a shooter, I payed $2000 for it but I wanted the mint book and the spar parts kit so after I took the book and spar parts kit out I sold it to him for $1700 I hope I didn,t rape him to bad, here in pa. they are worth $1500 to $1700 for parts or shooters and he was very happy to get it. truly lynn

That's a fair price for a shooter, if the extractor is "v" marked, its likely from a Gustloff produced bcd.
