    Default 1944 luft M43 - value?

Have this M43 Luft hat I want to sell, but have no idea how to price it. I posted it before and was told the insignia may be reapplied, but can't recall if it was for sure. Looking for a good selling price for it if someone has any idea. Has just a few moth holes, but otherwise it's nice. Underside of brim is a lighter shade of blue which looks really neat.

It's an original cap, hard to say on the insignia the pics don't show enough of the sewing, but some originals were done by hand like that, some by machine sewing. Nice original machine stitched examples bring more money. I'd say this one is worth between $340-$420 US. If it had a nice original machine applied insignia about $425-$450. Of course some dealers may try to ask more, but they will just sit on them forever. The Luft's never bring anywhere near the value of the Heer ones.

    Cheers,

nice cap and would have to agree on the price range. 55 smaller size hurts also. Look inside the cap in the insignia are to see if the thread goes through or not.

If not then its more appealing and may sell better. good luck ! great entry level cap for a newer collector.

No sewing from the inside. Looking real close, it looks like the eagle may be machine sewn, if hand done it's really well done and tight. Cockade may be hand sewn. Either way, thanks for the comments!
