Finally got around to fitting my G43 ac44 build into the Polish Stock that came with all the parts when purchased. Got the receiver to fit down into the the stock with minimal inletting required. Butt pad required more work but is mostly in place. Then I turned my attention to the recoil lug. Oh Brother!! Looks like this stock may have been made for one of those later two guide rail receivers if I have my info right. My friend, who I bought all the build parts from, has a dual rail receiver, so maybe he was intending to do a build with it and the stock and forgot, thus including the stock in my parts kit. Does anyone know the actual dimension difference between standard and dual rail lug hole placement?
The recoil lug hole is clearly drilled too far forward for my rifle. Please see pictures and let me know if I am sunk or if there is anything reasonable to do to make everything line up. As far as I can tell, there isn't anything I can do short of re-drilling the recoil lug hole which would ruin this nice polish stock. I can sell the stock and look for another proper reproduction if I want the rifle to look as original as possible. In the pictures I also show the position of the recoil lug and hole in the rifles current sporterized stock, which it fits in fine, in relation to the position in the Polish Stock. I also show how the receiver fits into the stock at the rear as well. Please advise.
If necessary to sell this stock, what would be a reasonable asking price? I'm not looking to rob anyone, but it wasn't cheap to start with. I'm sure it will still need more work getting everything fit correctly.
