JGA, KDF 4mm Trainer

I looked at this JGA trainer and I am considering buying it. I am not well versed in what these 4mm trainers are trading for, would anyone like to venture a range. Of course it has the wrong rod, matches and muzzle cover is unmarked.
Thank you.

those rifles are fairly rare and I have seen them sell for over 2k in the past. But, I have also seen them sell for as little as 750.00 on an off day.

But, if marketed correctly I think they still bring a healthy price well over 1k ++

Rifle looks all correct less the cleaning rod. Sling is correct. The blank muzzle cover could be correct or a JGA marked version. Looks like the correct type from the profile.

These were used by the KDF for various shooting events. Even on their ships. AKA the William Gustloff. They had indoor ranges.

Go for it. there are also two types I have seen. with and without the "strength through joy" logo on the rear bridge. this one has it !!! more scarce.

Have a look on correct rod

Would the later version of this trainer, with the H-band and k98 bayonet lug, have a different cleaning rod?
If you compare the 2 cleaning rods from the catalog, it seems the top one has a different length than the knurled one at the bottom.

I have the opportunity to buy the rifle in the pictures, so this may be wishful thinking of me :)
Interestingly, it has no JGA Wehrsportkarabiner Kal. 4mm lang designation on the housing.

So, no added markings on the rear bridge ? Clearly a Wehrsport karbine with no markings. JGA did some contracts to other firms so possibly this is the case here ? Blank left over from another contract ?
The cleaning rods on these types seem to be all the same from what I recall. Long with a step down with a knurl at the end. The plain JGA sportmodel 4mm seems to get little love and sells in the 5-600 range still.
The Wehrsport modell does better. The Germainia sport model in 22kal is the hardest to find and sells in the 1500-1600 range or did.. Simpsons site has many examples now and most are priced high.
