DUV G41W Unmarked Safety Lever

Removed the safety lever from my DUV G41W to replace it and noticed it has no markings on it.

Thought the Germans marked all these parts with either the 214 or 359 eagle.

I’m far from knowledgeable on these but my late F block 43 blm has an unmarked lever. Looking around when I got it, this appeared to be completely fine. Maker and letter block will be pertinent to whether or not yours should be marked however.

Mine is a 9700 g block.

DUV (blm) made.

Guessing that it’s completely fine then being even later than mine which is around 9k F block. Maybe someone will chime in to confirm that, I was curious about this myself when I got mine.

Do you mean a G41(W) Walther trials rifle or a G41 production rifle maked ac or duv? The safety on my G41(W) #4641 is numbered and proofed.

My G.41 duv43 is a 4k g block that has a e/214 safety lever. Yours is getting into later G.41 production though.

Frustrating sometimes when they use a (W). Sometimes I don’t know what they are talking about when they use that. Some believe when they use this, they are making sure you know it’s a Walther. But those that are “(W)” are super early trials Walther G.41’s.

In all fairness, he did say duv in his first post. Here is a picture of my F block, this is the only marking on it, I assume a subcontractor or in house inspection.

He did mention duv and what letter block it is. Kind of obvious he wasn’t talking about a G41(W) from 1942 made by Walther

Op, I would say that your safety is likely correct with no 214 inspection stamp. It certainly shouldn’t have a serial number so that is correct.

G 41 DUV 43 h block safety

I have a DUV 43 #414 h block with a 214 proofed safety. This is a straight out of the woodwork rifle, never in a collection or monkeyed with.

Maybe the unmarked safety is a field replacement.

The replacement safety I installed is 214 marked.
