    Default 30.06 mauser

I know someone selling a mauser in a sporterized military stock. I don't have much info on this rifle and neither does the owner. Its got .30 on top of shroud and no crest according to him. He said its 30.06 with a 1952 date on the collar. Anyone know what the origin is on this thing?...sorry I am waiting for photos. Just curious as its in ok shape and I have a bunch of 30.06 ammo so might make an offer.

Sounds like an FN model 1952.

Might be a Columbian R.Famage. Most of those have a 1952 date and were converted to .30-06. If so, might be hard to tell if it was FN, Steyr or Czech made originally.
