I picked this up last night, extremely difficult pistol to find. Serial number 469640
Thought I would share it here.
Thought I would share it here.
Looks like a very nice German Occupation assembled gun.
Great find !
Actually there are a few indicators.Nice gun. What gives it away as being occupied assembled?
Thanks, now I know what to look for.Actually there are a few indicators.
The serial number is in the known German assembled range
The slide latch is not fully completed, look carefully at the grooving.
The grips are synthetic.
Also, some of the components are not fully polished, such as the side of the grip safety. As I understand this would never have passed FN prewar inspection.

In addition to the unique attributes of a German Occupation pistol as listed above, some guns may have a flat trigger (no flanges) and some may lack full proof marks.
There were approximately 6000 of these guns assembled by the Germans after the plant was occupied, but before the WaA613 inspectors arrived.
