    Default 38 Elite Diamant

Here is the second one that I ran across. This one did not come with a frog.

Very nice and not easy to find bayonet.
I should know, I have been looking for a nice one for the last 10 years.

I am curious about the grips, in 1938 shouldn't they be plastic?

I think there might be a mixture of wood and plastic for 1938. I am sure wiser people than me will chime in.

Love it, the Elite Diamante is the only ones I seek out to collect. I'm fussy like that.

My 38ED has composite grips, but it is 'e' block.

There are two 38ED s at k98.free . One is from the no letter block and it has composite grips.
" Hey, I got it from a long time dealer in Third Reich militaria years ago, so you know it`s real." Over heard comment at a table.

Does anything else look incorrect on this bayonet? Seems like the consensus is that it should have bakelite grips. Whomever took them off did so without buggering the screws and making sure the slots were both aligned. I am not going to take it apart because I will probably bugger the screws. Canít win them all.

In this early 1938 range it should be correct wood grips, looks like nice bayonet. b.r.Andy
