`38 Elite Diamant

Figured since the smoke had cleared for a bit Sunday afternoon, I would take a few pics outside. The smoke caused a green tint to some pics and messed with the focus at times but I just needed to post a few pics. The `38 ED seemed a good choice. Over all it is in good shape. The blueing on the blade is very thin and has rubbed off in spots from being in and out of the scabbard over the years. Also I think the press stud is a replacement. You can see the file marks on it. I was concerned until I took it off. There was an old number that has been mostly hammered out and the bayonet serial applied over it, then reblued. The font looks good to me but I am no expert.

Very nice bayonet! I enjoy collecting K98 bayo's a lot. I got an Elite Diamant last week, they're one of my favorite makers!
