Show the Stahlhelm or fav. WW1 or 2 helmets

Favorites can vary from to day, though, this day why not this Waffen SS M-35 double decal;

Waffen SS M-35dd, ET64, alloy #4372, 1939-dated reinforced aluminum linerband, leather ID'd to a 'Braun', 1938-dated chinstrap, domestamp is far-too faint to read. The runic decal is shown in Baer, upper left, page 189.

A tale of acquisition/provenance comes with the piece; one bright, warm Sunday, circa 1984, my "friend" answered a "Want To Buy" phone call from a veteran in Beaverton, Oregon whereby my friend being unfortunately preoccupied with other things passed the info to a fellow named Jim Goodman. Jim arranged a meet, bought the helmet, kept it long enough to at least receive credit for the decal image in Baer, then, sold the helmet to Landy Hardy, from who I acquired the thing.

After sending images to my friend, he immediately recognized the helmet from the tiny kachunka in the upper-left corner of the runic, he then shrieked, "That's it!", proceeded to recall the above timeline.

Thanks for looking,
Cody G

Flash makes the colours a bit bright whereas they are dull in the hand. Right as rain and I stole it several years ago as the liner has makers marks and scared the other bidders away! Double bonus!
