ax - hole
So I was taking my 1916 Danzig Gew98 apart tonight because I needed to replace a trigger sear pin. I never did a data sheet on it nor did I do a data sheet on my 1904 Danzig Gew98. Having both rifles apart I noticed differences between both receivers. And I had to remember that these rifles are 12 years apart from each other. There is more polishing on the receiver on the earlier made rifle compared to more machine marks on the later made rifle. I also noted some difference's with the inspection stamps as well. Which I also thought it was neat.
I just think it's interesting to look at a rifle made pre WW1 stage compared to the wartime made rifle. And having both rifles together makes it that much more interesting. So took a few good pictures to compare the differences.
