AC43 No Block P38

Just bought this P38. It's a no block AC43, 76xx, appears to be matching. Came with 2 non-matching Waa135 magazines.
I've always wanted one, so at $800, I may have paid a little too much. Shoots fine.

Looks like a decent one. Mags should not be numbered. Walther was the only one numbering mags and they stopped that practice late ac42 c block. The collector correct mags should be e/359 stamped spine mags. You have Mauser mags if they are marked e/WaA135 or e/135.

It's a great looking gun! Congrats! If the mags are in good condition a second mag is worth $100, that should make up for any concerns you have regarding price. Are they P.38 P.38v or P.38v U?

I don't know what those are. P38s are outside my expertise, if I have any. The only markings are the Waa135, as far as I can tell.

The magazine is marked eagle 135, P38v. byf44/45?

If you want a magazine that is “as issued”, it should be P.38 (no v) with spine stamp e/359.

But, these mags got swapped around all the time in the field and not a huge big deal to anyone other than super serious collectors.

e/ = short for “eagle over”.

e/135 or e/WaA135 are Mauser.
