1935 Belgian Mauser All Matching

Just bought this one. I assume it is somewhat rare because I haven't seen many of them for sale. Even more rare seems to be the bayonet. If anyone has one they would sell or a lead on one I would like to purchase it.

Congrats. The Belgian M.1935 is a hard rifle to find in any condition, much less matching. I may have a nice spare bayonet for it I'd sell or trade. You have to be careful of the bayonets because some of them are actually for the M.89/16 and the barrel ring is a different size.

Nice ! and a fairly scarce gun in all matching condition.

If Hambone doesn't have a spare bayonet, drop me a line. I think I do have one.

Regards, Ned

Off the blanket no less? [emoji23] How'd you do? Glad to see you got it though.
I think I was shill bidded at the end. Shipping was $40. Second place guy stopped at $655. I bid $660 which was going to be my last and got it for $700 shipped.

I've always used a WW2 USGI issue OD blanket

Very nice. First one I've seen with a modified bayonet lug (more common on the 89). A K98k bayo should fit it.

Being it is modified is it worth buying a non modified? Secondly will Belgian Bayonet fit on modified?

I don't see the need to have a non-modded one if you have this one. Lug will still mount a Belgian bayo, Germans just added a second notch.

Glad I asked. Guy bid me up by bidding $125 then retracted his bid making me high bidder at $95 so I did the same. Was going to bid again, but since there is no reason to I won't.

Hey Capt14k- I bought the second Belgian that came from the same seller about a week after yours sold. The numbers are scrubbed on my bolt, but I think the crest is nicer on mine... want to trade???

Congrats. I saw the second one as well. You still got it at a good price.

I learn something every day.
Thanks!

In the past I saw this type of rifle which were used in the Belgian merchant navy, that is why I thought this was one too.
