unknown scope bases

Hello,
for decades I have two sets of strange scope? bases. I always was in the hope that I might find the correct rings. But no luck so far. :googlie

Both sets nicely fit a large ring Mod.98 receiver.
Has anybody out there seen scope rings (or anything else) that might fit these bases?

First set appears to be similar (or identical?) to the bases on the Spanish M43 Sniper Rifles with the TYPCEA Madrid scopes. Either those or the bases for the same mount used on the FR-8? See my recent thread on the FR-8 sniper. Will these fit a large ring Mauser action?

M-43 sniper rifle mounts

These mounts were made for the M-43 Spanish sniper rifle when they used a copy of the German 4 power scope/
Good luck in finding the rings and the correct type of scope

I was afraid of something like that, but it's ok. I did not pay that much for them. IIRR! ;-)
Have one Spanish Zielvier, but with different mount.

M-43 sniper mounts

Hi
There is not much out there on any Spanish sniper rifles. All I can tell you is that they were used early in the 1950's Later the two types of Japanese scopes were made in the 1960's

Some place I have pictures of your type of mounts on a M-43 sniper rifle I will look for them

Wolfgang, Bob is referring to the same mount as on your rifle in your link. That was also my guess in my earlier post here. Have you compared them?

Have to dig out my Spanish rifle, but from what I can see from my photos, the bases are different.

Unknown scope mounts spanish ? Pictures found !!!

I finally found the pictures I told you about. I am sorry to say they are different from the ones you showed Still they may be Spanish ??Still a mystery to me. They do look some what alike
