Nothing on the bayonet front. Found only two matching bayonets but they were not in high condition and I already had those maker/year. Just more money for next time. Was shown a really nice Luftwaffe Sword that was named to an airfield as well as a “demon squirrel “. Still better than a day at work.

Luft sword and the demon squirrel

Thanks for the compliment. The Allentown show always welcomes militaria dealers and collectors.
We are always looking for new displays. Display tables are free and cash awards!
I also enjoyed the Army dagger and the “demon Squirrel 🐿 “ discussion!

Luftsword

Luftwaffe sword from Fliegerhorst 14 Koln (Cologne).

Was good to see you Jack ... Yes, Walter was at it again.. He found more rolls of Edelwipe so there must be a small shack in Austria with a hoard.

What he doesn't know in the bathroom at the show they have dispensers where the Edelwipe is free !!! :moon: Its really soft like a lamb.. I brought ten rolls home.::thumbsup:

I sold Jack a small segment of Edelwipe and threw in a Luft dagger as they are basically worthless now.. X-mass ornaments and Toiletries are the hottest thing now.

Great to see members face to face who come by and chat and show off their finds..

I've got to get down to one of these shows. Sooner or later I'm not going to be away when it's being held. Not sure how I'll feel after seeing the TP and Christmas ornaments in person?

It broke my heart a bit to see that 33/40 that was listed here:thumbsup: that I could have had...glad a good guy got it though.

Yes, 33/40 was a treat to see "in hand"... I was joking Jack about up-skirting walters table...lol

I just noticed the sign he has.. I did see Whittman there Friday yucking it up with Walter.. Then walked off with some TP and xmas trim..

All shows are full of good and bad stuff you just have to know what to ignore and what and who to deal with.

jack944,

I'm pretty sure I talked with you as you purchased that Type 44. Really great rifle!

I set up a display table at Allentown sometimes, so stop by and say hey if you see me next time. Here's the display I did a few shows ago.

I picked up a few things as well. An original matching M91/30, captured by the Finns, a Finnish Civil Guard marked Type 30 Arisaka, and a Type 99 in the original GI shipping crate.
