Repo Field Gear Collector
So I went to the show last weekend only to drop off some stocks, I barely looked around for a few minutes and then headed to meet my friend. After talking guns for a while the show was already coming to a close on a Sunday, so I started heading out the door. On my way I stopped at a table with a good number of pistols on it. Nothing crazy, nothing I had to have, several very average at best P-38’s in a glass case and then a pile of lower end pistols all over the table, I scanned through them and then did a double take back up to this one. I picked it up, looked it over and couldn’t believe it, matched to the mag and all!

That was a score and a half....again, the lucky horseshoe in your a$$ prevails...

:laugh::happy0180:

No S&B, PPU etc loads it, but this is far from one I’ll be busting primers in, many imported shooter types out there for that. Speaking of such things, this one has virtually no wear on the the feed ramp and the bolt face has zero primer pits etc! Many thanks fellas :happy0180:, super happy to add this to my collection, original Russian stuff is just so hard to find!

Great score

You just don't see them that nice...probably captured by a German who was then captured by an American.

Would love to own it...:hail::thumbsup:

Good theory Jack! You have to wonder how it survived this clean and original and that fits the scenario.

Many thanks guys! I was extremely happy to find it! Okay, it’s too ludicrous not to mention.. I did go ahead and fork over the 375 the dealer wanted for it! :facepalm: :happy0180:

How did it sit on his table for that long at that price! People must have just thought it was a safety added import marked tok.

You are spot on, original Russian anything is tough to find!

From a private seller, yes. From the dealers around here and the deals I’ve witnessed them make? I will never apologize for that.

Have to say I agree on both points. Recently big stink about a dealer bought cheap knowing it was rare and listed it minutes later for like 1500% markup over what he JUST paid. No pity or sympathy. Sorry not sorry.

375 is practically stealing it.

Very nice score! :thumbsup: Very few and far between to find one with a matching magazine.

I paid 350 bucks for an all matching including magazine 1938 Tula a few years ago in a pawn shop. I ended up flipping it for 1500 bucks several months later to pay for something else I wanted more.

Thanks Hambone! Picked up a couple other Toks to keep it company. :happy0180:
