Picked up one of these this weekend. Have seen this one for the past two years, finally got it for a reasonable price. Few exterior markings. The Paatz name and model as mentioned in the title. Right side of receiver is marked B crown, U crown as is the bolt. Top of barrel is engraved "Adolf Loesche Hannover". Bolt is stamped 349 underneath the bolt root.
After taking it apart the trigger itself is stamped 349 and the bottom of the barrel is also stamped 349. Other interesting marks underneath the barrel. A "C" with a smaller "S" inside it kind of double-stamped; looks like a "crown G or C" and a "crown U" "5,4 m/m" (interesting this is stamped underneath but not visible when the rifle is assembled). Stock channel has "349" written in script in pencil. Interesting also, the trigger guard screws to the bottom of the stock. You just have to loosen one bolt and the entire action come out. Pretty well made. Bore was dirty, but cleaned up really nicely. I would assume this is an early production gun but not sure. Buttplate is metal with horizontal lines across the middle third or so.
Will post pictures soon. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks. dj
