Hello Gentlemen,

I am new here and want to share with you my new addition, fresh from the attic! Barrel drilled and welded, bolt MM... Could anybody please help with identifying the bolt and its marking?
Thanks a lot

Jan

Oh dear, I should not be posting while on the phone ... of course i meant the Luftwaffenkarabiner! Sorry for the wrong designation.

Bolts Gewehr98, but saw service with Poland. Impossible to guess the G98 maker it came out of with these pictures, but Prussian, probably Spandau or DWM.

Have you a picture of the right receiver acceptance? Or what is it? Eagle / WaA623 x3?

Can the OP determine what exactly this mark is? mark on bolt knob.PNG Too bad about that brutal deact though.

Here it is again... disassembled and cleaned carefuly.

The red strip on butt was for Instruction weapon, mostly from 2 as it was not same size as upperguard, unfortunally removed by cleaning, the disarming was done in same period, used mostly by army for presentation. b.r.Andy

Agree, very probably from instruction rifle, and hanguard is not matching number, but still coming from another Steyer - interesting.
