Thoughts on it I think there's an x on the slide but it's hard to tell any help would be great

RC.

Pull the slide off and look at the locking block. It will be a dark blue. Look down in the frame and you will see parts that are blued that should be in the white.

It's pretty clear to me that its a dipped RC, has that brown look to the barrel and missing the S&F paint. I do see the X mark as well.

It's dipped from the finish and RC. As stated, cyq locking blocks were blued but it's a distinctive light or thin blue.

#1 doesn't look RC. 2 and 3 are. You should check the other side of the slide. The final proof on a p38 is stamped through the blue and will show some sign of white metal.

It's for sure Russian dipped. The Russian dip is usually black and thicker, almost like frosting on a cake. FWIW here is one that is close in serial number since it's in the same suffixed letter block. The Spreewerks were built in sequential order (1-10000) by No letter Suffix, Suffixed alphabetically (a-z), then prefixed alphabetically (a-b). So this one would have been produced <5000 after the one you posted.

$1000 canadian for it it's the first rc p38 I've run into here
