I pretty much keep a revolving collection so it’s probably amazing that I still have my first Mauser but I do! A 1919 Swede stocked in elm with an fsr bent bolt in it, also my first rifle! My first 98k unfortunately left years ago but it was an RC duv40.

I had to check my bound book, yes, i have my first Mauser. it was a VZ24 from Aim surplus.. It was my first attempt at a refinish and the bolt is like butter. it's my go to mauser for the range. it's not my favorite but was well worth the $ I paid. My first 98K wasn't beautiful and left with others as i continued to upgrade. my first quality mauser was the first one i got from PlymouthMauser .... he can show the pics if he wants.

If it’s the byf43, you’ll have to take some new pics. Or we’ll trade again.

Nathan hooked me up with a 1937 S/42 bolt mismatch. I had been searching (unsuccessfully) and was mainly coming up with mismatches. Great first rifle!
