Czech BRNO VZ 24

This my only Mauser. My dad bought it through "Shotgun News" shortly after returning from the war. He was lucky to get one in pretty good shape. He used the rifle for deer hunting in northern Michigan several years. It has not been fired for over 40 years and won't be as long as I have it. It is a 1928 version with all matching parts. The black band near the front band is electrical tape dad wrapped around it to reenforce a small crack in the wood forepiece. The strap was also a later addition for hunting purposes.

Vz24

Just a super "Germanized" VZ24. Dont get much better than that. Way cool.

Not being an avid collector, I am assuming you mean this.

Oh, that is AWESOME. I love German mod Vz rifles, and they don't get any better than that. I sold all mine, but if I had just one again, I would like it to be just like that.

Thanks for posting this.

Suhl isn't in East Prussia, it isn't even close.

Rework acceptance is not marked on the takedown disc usually, the waffenamt is probably just for the takedown disc (the part) itself.

Reworked in east Prussia area.Probably in Suhl?

Takedown disk

Paul is correct in that the Waffenamt on the takedown disk does not denote the depot where the rifle was converted.
The inspection stamps on the disks can vary from factory applied from any of the major inspection teams at Mauser, Sauer (E/63, E/77,E/37, etc) to inspections
carried out at the depot when the part was received into inventory. (Su, Ka, etc.)
