Kkw bsw #199387

A very beautifull KKW, in a very good condition.
Was very lucky to pick this one in Germany a few weeks ago.... Never seen a 199xxx BSW, did you ?

Klein Kaliber Wehrsportgewehr - small caliber sporting rifle, roughly translated into English.

Beautiful rifle, tiger_jedi - I wish I could lay my hands on one of these!

Love BSWs. Rare to see in such great condition and not S/A or property marked.

Mine is 204xxx and is S/A marked on the left side of the stock.

In Simpson's book the earliest regular production S/N in the dataset is 200168. Interestingly there is a BSW KKW Meisterschaftsbuchse that is S/N 198784. With the continuous serialization of rifles as they were produced yours has to be pretty close to one of the firsts.

That's a beautiful rifle, congratulations finding it!I'd love one of these but unfortunately they're extremely rare in England.
