Berreta M1934 Rig

EOD - bombs and bullets
This is another I picked up back in early December, hadn't posted yet...

Cool little pistols, this one is Italian Army marked, and dated 1942. The holster is post war, but I like the look, sure looks like a "tropical" holster....

Came with both mags, so that was a bonus...

Another I am happy with...my pistol collection sure has ballooned over the last 4 months of 2018!

Funny! I have a '41 Rig on the way. I like the .380 caliber to carry, and the M34 is a little safer to carry than my 1915 Colt .380. Brown holster is original (officer); green was enlisted. Have a second mag on the way; they weren't numbered to the pistol.

A very nice M1934 !
Can you post a back side photo of the holster?

Sure, here you go...now, this holster is in Bender's "Military Holsters of WWII", but that is kind of old, and what I have found is that these are post war, and set up to go onto British Pattern 37 type web gear, as you can see...

Like I said, I may keep an eye open for a green WWII EM holster, but I like this web holster...just like I love the web and leather tropical holster for the 37M pistols...like to find one of those someday too...

It sure is a sweet little piece, fits hand nicely, and the finger extension on the mag bottoms are really nice. The wide open mag sides are very Chauchaut like...

I believe your holster is post war Italian issue. and yes, it's set up for the British P37 web system.
And your're right, it is a cool holster. I bought mine because I thought it could be North African campaign issue, but it turned out to be something a bit later. Oh well, it's still cool.

I had one too a long time ago and thought the same. I was not smart to not realize that brass would not have been used in WWII like that. Sold the holster and took the hit. Oh well, details will cost you if you don’t pay attention to them.

That one is sweet. I really like it. One Axis pistol I lack and still want.

Better hurry up and find a nice one now. Especially now that the prices are still reasonable. They are starting to get popular and people are realizing what they are. All that is needed is a book to come out and these and they will be like the other popular pistols in availability and price tag sillyness.

Here’s the best resource so far on these that will help you out:
