Walther parts on duv??
I came across this thread and perhaps it'll help me on a gun I'm looking at.
It's a G41duv43 with no letter after the 4-digit SN.
Anyway, all SNs match, but not on the very rear of the bolt housing, just above the grooved button area.Rather it is the same patina of the rifle, but stamped Waffenampt 359 (Walther?).
I own a G41duv43 and there is a SN on this piece matched to the gun, so I am wondering.
Could this be original to the gun?

T, very cool rifle. It inspired me to take out my BLM that’s 1k serials off from yours. All matching, but the recoil lug is 359. No stock markings. Interesting theories here.
