Had a some good luck at a local gun show yesterday. Honest bolt and hand guard mismatch. Has a bit of rust on the right side of the bolt take down disk but I think kroil and a toothbrush will do the trick.

Haha, thanks! I haven't had great luck the last two years on the Imperial side, I didn't want to pass this one up. I like both eras, I don't think there's a cure for the German mauser collecting disease.

Great rifle! I’d take a nice untouched bolt m/m any day over a cleaned matching rifle! I’d be hesistant with Kroil on that disc, if any hits the stock it will soak in fast. Always fun to find a good Mauser no matter the flavor
