I think you are just seeing a grainy image. Not a striping in the wood grain.

Could very well be, I edited the picture a little when I first saw it and it seemed to be more pronounced.

What does not look correct is the trigger finger, the grip, eye relief, angle of the barrel, etc. As a former shooter, it is all wrong. IMO.
