The fact its a fully machined receiver is enough The proof mark is sometimes on the rear tab of the receiver . Its a real late 44 rifle O block in Phosphate.

Some show up in 45 that are blued due to being earlier made and rejected then used in 45 with the rail milled off.

Finding a fully machined in Phosphate isn't easy.

This receiver may have been returned to Zella-Mehlis from Buchenwald as concentration camp production stopped after the 1944 allied bombing raid.
 
I think I've seen/heard enough. Took a closer look at a few other G43 images to compare both the lug and the grip. I can see now what you're saying. That stock's clearly been worked over. You have good eyes! I suppose after you've looked at 1,000 or so you see these things right away 😉

Well looks like I'm going to walk-on-by this one. For these prices, the piece has to retain its value and I dont want to inherit these issues.
