hello collectors
last time i have obtained the interesting ''set''.i know that ''set'' is not the best word because the bayonet is not correct example for the scabbard and frog.( by the way it is inetersting piece From Move werke with the square fuller and oval holes in the grips,i belive it belongs to the WWI era)but this is not the topic.i want to focus on the web tropical frog i belive it is a geniune piece maked approximately about the last years of war.my question is about the stamp on the upper side of the back section of frog.it is most real a year 44 stamp but the view of it suggest me that it can be an ss marking also.does exist any data about the ss markings of this type of frog at all?my first(automatic) thought was that so someone has maked the fake stamp to improve the value.but this does not make a sense because i bought this 'set' for a equality of 100$ i think this is not bad price for a not common variant of k98 bayonet, good conditioned scabbard and scarce frog i think this rule out the theory of manipulation.my friend from who i was bought it obtained this set in this form a years ago for even cheaper price.what do you think about this stamping?
beside the questions i hope You enjoy this ''set''
regards

Hello Sir,

It's a beautiful dak frog but I don't see anything SS in there.
The scabbard is of the type S 84/98 WW2.

Best regards
Aws

Not a SS marking but the date of 44 over an unidentified maker's ink stamping. Have seen the same inked marking but dated 43. Very nice frog however and scarce with these markings. Your Möve-Werke S84/98II is a scarce example also. Thanks for posting ....
