Hk93 collection

I also have a decent Hk93 collection. Most are “A3” converted (retractable stock version). You have to know about which bolt carrier goes with which stock because of the buffers. I stopped collecting Hk’s because I got into the German WWII stuff. None of them have the dreaded scope mount scratches that a lot suffer from. One has the box and “barrel tampon” with it too:

Some of my Hk pistols and my black Steyr AUG:

Here’s one that came up for sale one time and I idiotically didn’t get it. I loved the grips on it because it looked like P.38 grooved grips:

Nice! Love the HK's, had a couple of PTR's over the years, but, damn, they kick, very sharp kick, and hard on brass...

Yep, the 91’s kick like a mule! After about 2 or 3 mags I’m ready to put it down. Both 91’s and 93’s are real hard on brass, crimping the ejected brass in the middle. The 91’s usually have a rubber brass deflector attached to stop a lot of damage to the brass. I don’t reload, so it never bothered me. The flutted chamber also scores (burn marks) the brass pretty good too. I don’t think that actually hurts the brass though. Seems like it also crimps the side and lips of the brass mouth too? I haven’t shot any of mine in years, so I can’t remember. Way too collectible now.

Now I burn ammo through my piston driven AR-15 SBR’s:

Nice collection! -

They are cool guns, but you're right, too nice to blast, investments now.

Thanks. Yep, I might take one out someday and “gently” shoot her, but their shooting days are over as long as they stay in my collection. One of them I had a scope mount on it long ago. It took me a LONG time, with great care and lots of sloppy oil applied to not scratch the paint where the mount mounts on it. I was successful in not scratching it, but it was hard and I was scared to death once the mount was on as to whether I scratched it or not. So, I never put it back on it. Too nerve racking!

To hell with letting them sit. I still shoot all my HK's! I did take the collapsible stock off my 93 and replace it with a fixed one because it's much more comfortable to shoot.

Thanks! The 9mm's are some of my Turkish and Pakistani made jobbers. They work just as well as my German units though. I didn't pick up a 94 back in the day for some reason, just the 91 and 93. Roller locks seem to breed:

I wish someone would make an STG45 so bad!

Whoa!!!!!

I thought I had been bitten pretty bad. Those CETME rifles are awsome too....and the Swiss rifle....and, yeah they are all darn nice! I guess I didn’t know they imported those CETME rifles back in the day. I don’t think I have ever seen one outside of magazines, forums and such. Never in person that I can remember. Nice!!!!

I’ve had a couple of Hk94’s, but I never could get past the loooong 16 inch pencil barrel and rubber buffers they have. I didn’t want to go through the conversion process to make an SBR Hk94 either. Just way too much money and hassel to convert one.

The CETME's are new. One was made by Hill and Mac Gunworks a few years ago when they did a run of 100. The other is a current offering by MarColMar firearms. I highly recommend getting one. I actually prefer it at the range to my 93.

Another HK aficionado. Here’s my original German HK MP5 a3 and P7m8. The P7 is, in my opinion, the greatest service pistol in the world. It’s still one my main CCW pistols too.

Love the Steyr Aug as well. I have an early Aug A2 that’s still awesome to shoot.

To the point about keeping them scratch free.. my guns got all the scratches.. all by me. I can’t help shooting the hell out of them. The Mp5 has some decent wear on those scope mounts... and all over. I have some tape to keep some parts from scraping up too bad when I put them in the bags. Lol. I guess I just love these guns enough to not baby em.. and I think a well rode MP5 from the early 90s looks

The CETME rifles just look superior to the 93’s.

P7’s are really cool. You could easily say they are the fastest pistols to shoot, reload and get back on target because of the squeeze cocker. BUT, they have two super bad issues; one is the expense of them and two is the heat build up problem. After about three mags of firing rapidly, they get pretty hot due to the gas system. I remember blasting away with one of mine and after about three mags shot quickly I was ready to put it down for a while.

Drool ... That does it. I'm coming to visit you and Kelly next year. … stock up on your ammo, bro. :biggrin1::moon:
