New Round, 25x193R for PaK 112(f)

EOD - bombs and bullets
Lucked onto this round, one I don't have, last week.

It is a 25x193R round for the French 25mm Hotchkiss AT gun, which was captured in large numbers and pressed into use by the German as the 2,5 cm PaK 112(f).

By 1941 it wasn't really effective on most main battle tanks, but was still deadly to soft skin vehicles and older tanks....better than spitballs.

I received the round sans paint. I have seen a few live TP-T rounds, and they had a unique apple green tip and case seal which I like. The standard AP is just plain black tipped.

I painted this up as the green tipped TP-T...

Here are some pics, including one sandwiched between a US 57mm Recoiless, and a the German produced round for the Russian M39 Bofors 37mm AA gun. Also a pic of an original TP-T round, paint matches up pretty good...

Rumor has it some guy here is going to own one of these sweet little guns...lucky bastard.

Very cool. There was an old surplus store for many years here that had the old French gun that took that out front.

One of these days I am going to get a small cannon...I had a buddy who had one of these up north, pretty nice, because you could man handle it around by yourself...

I'd love a PaK 40, but you aren't moving it around by yourself....a PaK 38 (5 cm) maybe, a PaK 36 (3,7 cm) easy....I'd be happy with something small I could work on and move around myself...

You could pull that French 25 behind a four wheeler. I'd want a live one.
