Thanks. Just don't see them very often. I will ask if this one "works".
Yes, there are several different models of these prism scopes. See here for one of mine: http://www.k98kforum.com/showthread....l-Zeiss-scopes
Those are most commonly found on Commercial rifles. So far I have not seen a military rifle with one of these scopes.
These prismatic rifle scope of the "GZ" series are rare finds in europe. Very limited time made between 1903-1910 by Zeiss, prismatic scopes were an dead road in the evolution of rifle scopes.
Some military trials where made ( also in US, take a look at Senich, US Sniping), but they were to sensitive and expensive in production.
I have one GZII in my collection:

How they are valued in USA?

I do not consider them rare in Europe. They do turn up from time to time, you just have to be patient. But they are not more common or uncommon than in other countries. Not looking for them I have found three of them over the years.

I have three of those in my personal collection and I'm just in a country next to you, and I have not been actively searching for those nor specially collecting them. And I remember having seen at least two of those for sale at the last Waffenbörse Kassel.
So we see how near different points of view can be.
