Thanks for your help.

I am very disapointed.. It was sold to me as an original some years ago..

Could you explain to me what is wrong with it please?

Is it the same type as this one?

Thanks

It's a fake mount - engraved SN whilst trying to be the correct type, is off. Also the WaA214 with the almost semi-circular way the numbers are positioned.

Sorry to hear that you bought it as an original

Thank you.

I had a doubt.. and i prefer to know it no problem ;)

So i have to find a good one now..

I dont know if it could interest some people here? I always do researches to identify US soldiers of 7th Armored Division KIA to liberate my department in 1944. During my researshes i found this video on youtube: this video was only discovered last year in France. It is a rare video where we can see both german soldiers leaving and US soldiers coming into a french town. This is the 23th AIB of the 7th Armored Division entering in Nangis (France) the 26th august 1944.

That’s a pretty good copy of a mount. To bad it was sold to you as real. Obviously fake I think. Nice collection.

After seeing your new pictures I change my previous statement. It is in fact a fake. With low light pictures it looks real but with detailed pictures it has obvious flaws.

How much did you have to pay? Reproductions still have some value.

I agree that this mount might had lead myself to thinking it could be original too. This is one of the best reproduction mounts I've seen so far. Sorry to hear it was sold to you as an original.

The lever was the first clue. The mount still had potential after that but seeing the close-ups, no. Great looking repro, though.

Hello!

Thanks for your remarks ;)

Look at this pictures of 2 G43 "214" mounts with uncommon "number" marking: what do you think about it?

Pictures come from the nice french forum http://www.tircollection.com

Best regards

Damien

This one have a "0" marking:
