    Ok what would I need for pics to get an accurate look to see if it's real? Apparently
    wittmann militaria sold it a guaranteed it's authenticity , I haven't heard of this fellow before so I don't know how reputable he is

    Pictures in natural sunlight are best, get a close up of the material, rope (if there is any) and stitching. As for his reputation, best to do a google search and see for yourself.

    I'm stepping out on a thin limb here, but judging the appearance of the materials and construction your flag is original. Take that as an opinion from someone who doesn't collect flags, but I have handled lots of originals of the era. I do know that people who make reproductions will go to the last degree to make an item "period correct". This would definitely fool me if reproduction, and why I don't collect this type of item.
