Default Is it me or am I crazy?

I know I'm relatively new to collecting trainers, but...

$6,500 for a Gustloff? Sold the same day it was posted.

I definitely take his (and a few of the ridiculous GB sellers) 'sale' prices with a grain of salt. This has been discussed before and there are several theories. Some of it certainly is buyers who stalk their sites, believe every word about how rare or desirable an item is, have plenty of money and couldn't be bothered with even a cursory bit of research. That's how we see 1500-2000 rifles 'sell' for 3500, 4000 or more. I use the words sale and sell quite loosely because there are those who believe not all of them are actually consummated.

My favorite was a very rare last ditch rifle that he sold for just shy of $700. It was just your standard Nippon Special Steel training rifle - just in nice shape.

But this one was "important." It was in a book and belonged to Hitler.
