Heart Cartouche??

Anyone ever see or know what this heart cartouche is from?

That a good question, as Swiss rifles have the same stamp, and no one seems to know what they mean either.

I believe any marking in that location is considered in all probability to be an in house inspection of some sort. I don’t think it is a coincidence on a Walther rifle that they often happen to be a heart seeing as Zella Mehlis is located in Thüringia, which is known as the “Green Heart” of Germany. Even JG-54 painted a green heart on their aircraft for instance.
