Mauser help!? Very confused on this action!!!!! FN or spandau 1917 GEW 98

Quick back story, I traded for this rife about 10 years ago and never really did anything with it. Its a custom built 7mm mauser. I am not a big fan of the 7x57 and am looking to rebarrel it to a 30-06 or .308. I was trying to research which action this is so that I could start the hunt for a barrel and this is where i got confused. The top of the receiver is marked spandau 1917 and has the spandau crown so i was thinking k98, but if you look at the rear of the action it looks identical to a commercial FN action with full length extractor. I am not well educated on mausers so I am seeking help on this one.

The receiver itself is just a straight up Spandau 1917 Gew 98 receiver....beyond that its doubtful much else is original including bolt....

Too bad, you can see the WM moniker below the top hole. This was a WMO assembled Spandau.

I agree, this is a very elusive receiver, too bad the sporterization.. Try and do good pictures of the right and left receiver. It would be helpful to establish the serial and range this rifle falls into Mauser production.

As Sam stated, this a Mauser product, not a Spandau made rifle.
