Awesome set, always liked the look of these bek’s. Question, are these manganese Phosphate, or is it just a dirty zinc solution, I don’t recall seeing one in person and I’m looking at a small phone screen.

Clay I'd say these late bek scopes have a zinc phosphate wash. The finish is thin. Enclosed are photos of my used LSR bek, with a late NOS bek scope that was never mounted on a rifle.

I agree on the zinc phosphate. It is much darker than manganese phosphate like we see on the typical rifle finish. I have one as well, #79049 not with a matching can, of course. Beautiful, and I say the can is good, for the record.

There has been talk that few of these were mated to rifles, clearly yours was. Nice scope and can!

Man, that’s gorgeous! Everytime I see a mount in the 80k range I do a double take in the hopes it’d be the one that goes with my rifle! Haha!

I want to thank everyone for the compliments on my new find. I was very happy to get it although I would have been much happier if it had turned out to be a single claw scope & can.

I had to check the number on my 80k range LSR as well, hoping for a match.

So close and yet so far!
