Hello from Illinois! I have a question...

I’m looking to purchase a K98 and/or M48, I’d like to know if it is possible to modify the M48, so that the bolt locks when out of ammo, as the K98 does? I’d like to purchase 2 Mausers, one for collecting and one for shooting at the range. If the M48 bolt can be modified to lock after the final round, I plan on going with it as the shooter, for some cost savings over the 98.

If not mistaken I think you just need the correct follower without the rear "notch" to keep the bolt from forward movement when no round is in the magazine.
