Hello from Indiana. I've lurked here for a while and recently have garnered a much greater interest in German military arms. I have a beautiful sporter rifle and a BSW trainer that I will post up with some good pictures. I believe the sporter is an Erma rifle, 1940 date with waffenamt 280 stamps. I've never removed the scope or block to see the code on the reciever. Recently, I passed up a 1937 BSW RC rifle at a gun show recently that I've been regretting ever since. I've been into US milsurps, perhaps odd for a 24 year old. I currently own 2 IHC Garands, a 1903 that is being built into a Unertl clone with a 12x Unertl scope, a 1943 Winchester Model 12 trench gun, and a slough of M14 parts being grouped for manufacturer correct builds.

Regards,
Alex

Welcome aboard Alex. The bSw is a rare bird, it's taken me half my life to accumulate a small stash of them. I always say "the time to buy a bSw is when you find a bSw." I just added another 1937 non import mismatch last week thanks to bruce98k's help. I sold my entire parts stash of M-14 parts last year. Many still in original packaging. My hands are shot now so working on rifles is a thing of the past for me but I still have a ton of K98 parts. Many are bSw parts. Stay a while, enjoy the site and show photos, it's our "porn" after all.

Yes, I believe it was you who I messaged on the M14 forum about said bSw rifle. I guess I'm getting my start on collecting things early, scary to think what I might accumulate by my later years!

Yeah. I did a bSw post there. And getting started early is great. Who knows what you will uncover in time.
