Gustloff kkw with R.B.D. erf stock

Was anyone following the gustloff kkw with an RBDerf stock for sale on gunbroker? It sold for $455 and curiously enough another has shown up for sale recently on pre98's site for $2950. The first rifle was missing a bolt and the second is matching, but with a different serial number. If you do an advanced search on gunbroker for seller obi1gr (closed auctions) and gustloff the photos are still available. When you compare the two sets of photos the sling repair and stock handling marks appear to be the same. Maybe I'm off base, but if a swap was done it would seem that should be revealed to a potential buyer of a $3k rifle. Thoughts?

Wow! Good catch Ken, the good thing is a chunk of lumber is like a finger print, this IS the same damn rifle for sure, at least the stock. Would be nice to see the stock serial number to see what was done to it. Yet another floater from your friendly neighborhood dealer :googlie

That’s a pretty crappy thing to do. If I understand correctly he swapped the stock to a matching gun. Is that correct?

Appears to be Brian, I didn’t look close enough at the metal to see if it was a rebarrel job, but I’m guessing another Gustloff action from a sporter or some such was simply dropped in this stock set. Thanks to Ken’s sharp attention the correlation was made. Maybe I’ll see this turd this weekend in Tulsa.

He has put up for sale things that are questionable before. Actually not too long ago... I can't remember exactly who but someone sold a rifle and about two hands later it shows up on pre98 matching. The original owner couldn't believe the magic.

Creepycollins is his GunBroker username, pretty easy to connect those dots.

That’s good to know, I’ll add that to my list of banned buyers :biggrin1: only had to cancel and refund one sale this year so far!

I personally would not buy from that seller, I am aware two or three instances where things were doctored.

I shared a pistol with him, that I was unaware what the value was at the SOS..He was interested in it, so I said make me an offer. He got downright abusive since I would not give him a price. Kindly asked for the pistol back and he was still abusive. I will never waste my time again with him. Check out his circles he moves in and who vouch for him... more alarming.
